We hope that all of you and your families and friends are all doing well, and staying safe, during this difficult time.
Because of the current situation, we have made the difficult decision to cancel California Championships this year. We understand with the rink closures and social distancing, there has been no time to prepare programs, and there is still a lot of uncertainty as to when we will be able to resume any sense of normalcy.
The Board also recognizes the impact that this global crisis has had on our coaches. Our Club is dedicated to helping our members in need, so we are raising money to support our current home club coaches during this difficult time. You can help out by donating on our GoFundMe page (the link is below) – any amount will help:
Support LAFSC Coaches in Quarantine
Please remain safe and continue to practice social distancing as long as the order is in place. At the same time, please remember to check-in with friends and family, especially those who live alone or may be completely isolated. There are many safe-distance methods that allow you to do this and also let others know that you are okay:
- Post on Facebook or Instagram
- Do video chats on FaceTime, Facebook Messenger, Zoom, etc.
- Use texting tools like iMessage or WhatsApp
- Take virtual off-ice classes with coaches/teammates
- Chat via phone
Stay safe, and thank you for supporting our coaches!
