We here at the Los Angeles Figure Skating Club wish to extend our heartfelt congratulations to lifetime member, Michelle Kwan, on her pending induction into the 2012 Class of the United States Figure Skating’s Hall of Fame. An induction reception in her honor will be held during this year’s U.S. Figure Skating Championships in San Jose at the Fairmont Hotel on Friday, January 27, 2012. On January 28, 2012, at the conclusion of the Senior Ladies event, there will be an in-arena recognition of Michelle’s induction into the Hall of Fame.
We are very fortunate indeed to have had the privilege of having had Michelle represent our club for many years as a true champion in every sense of the word. She has always been, and will continue to be, an exemplary role model for all skaters, both young and old, and indeed for all of us, in view of her extraordinary accomplishments both on and off the ice. Congratulations to Michelle and her wonderful family on this very well deserved honor!
