We are very pleased to announce that Joshua Fendi is one of the recipients of the 3A Award from U.S. Figure Skating!!!! Congratulations Joshua!

The 3A award is a scholarship program that recognizes skaters who have achieved figure skating excellence while actively volunteering.

To earn a 3A award, skaters must have competed at the novice or junior level at the 2017 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships or the 2017 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships. Candidates were asked to submit an application detailing their volunteer work. The Athletes Advisory Committee (AAC) selects one overall winner and five winners from each discipline (ladies, men’s, pairs, ice dance and synchronized).

Joshua formed the first high school figure skating club on the west coast at Los Alamitos High School in California. He plans monthly skating outings and provides free lessons for club members to spark interest in the sport. An honors student, he volunteers with the Math Club to help middle schoolers academically and participates in Model United Nations. Fendi is also a violinist in his high school orchestra, pianist, and a member of the Building Literacy Club. With his partner and twin sister Jasmine, Fendi is the 2014 U.S. juvenile pairs champion and 2016 U.S. intermediate pairs champion. Most recently at the 2017 U.S. Championships, they finished sixth in the novice event.

WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU JOSHUA! GO JJ!!
