LAFSC SKATERS SHINE AGAIN AT TODAY’S EVENTS AT THE 2012 SWP REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!

LAFSC skaters continued to shine at today’s events at the 2012 SWP Regional Championships!

First up this morning, Robert Hennings skated to a third place standing in the Intermediate Men’s short program. Robert continues the competition tomorrow with the long program. Have a great skate Robert!

Next up on the schedule today was the Novice Men’s SP. LAFSC skaters skated well! Spencer Howe is currently in first place, followed by Othniel Chan in second, with Sahmaro Rockhold in fifth and Darian Weiss in sixth place. Good luck tomorrow guys with your long programs!

The Juvenile Girls Championship Round followed with Tessa Hong skating to a Bronze medal and with it an invitation to the the 2012 US Junior Championships in December! Congratulations Tessa! Karolina Calhoun and Gigi Goff (competing in their first ever Championship Round at a Regional event) finished in 10th and 16th places respectively. Great job girls! Making the final round is a big acheivement and we are proud of all our Juvenile Girls competitors!

In the Intermediate Ladies Championship Round Short Program LAFSC’s Cheyenne Taylor finished on top with a strong short program. Great job Cheyenne! Going into tomorrow’s long programs, LAFSC also has Jasmine Jafarkhani (currently in 6th place), Heidi Han (currently in 9th place), Rylie Tanoura (currently in 14th place), and Maya Mendonsa (currently in 16th place). Have great skates ladies! We’re rooting for you.

In the Novice Ladies Championship Round Short Program, LAFSC’s Amanda Gelb is currently in 1st place. Great job Amanda! Brenda Ji is currently in 3rd place, Catherine Giese is in 5th place, Yura Min is in 7th place, and Lauren Leonesio is in 11th place. Good luck tomorrow ladies with your long programs!

In the Junior Ladies Short Program, Katarina Kulgeyko is currently in second place, Lauren Campbell is in 4th place, Alana Walker is in 6th place, Rebecca Phung is in 8th place, and Mandee McFerren is in 13th place. The ladies skate their long programs tomorrow. Good luck to all of you! Have great skates!

In Senior Men, after today’s short program, Austin Kanallakan currently stands in 3rd place. Good luck on your long program tomorrow Austin!

In the Senior Ladies long program event today Sina Choe completed this year’s competition with a 5th place finish. Congratulations Sina!

The competition wraps up tomorrow, and we are wishing all of our skaters great skates!
