LAFSC DID GREAT AT JUNIOR NATIONALS!! (12/5/2005)

We are proud to announce that Tiffany and Christopher Nahm are the brand new 2006 Intermediate Pairs Champions! Ashlynne Marie Ragasa placed third and Galvani Hopson placed fourth. What a terrrific event!

Congratulations also to our Juvenile Girls Medalists – Keauna Mclaughlin placed second and Margaret Stevenson placed third!

Also notable is Chad Phillips, who placed seventh in Juvenile Pairs, and Deanna Inn, who placed ninth in Intermediate Ladies group 1B.

Congratulations to all of you – we are so proud to have you as members of the Los Angeles Figure Skating Club!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF OUR PACIFIC COAST AND JUNIOR NATIONAL COMPETITORS!! (11/23/2005)

A special congratulations to our skaters who qualified for Nationals – Themi Leftheris, who with his partner Naomi Nari Nam skated flawlessly to gold in Championship Pairs, Marisa Sharma and Amir Ganaba who earned the silver in Championship Pairs, Tenile Victorsen who placed second in Junior Ladies, Arielle Trujillo who with her partner Grant Marron placed third in Junior Pairs, and Brian Simm who placed silver in Novice Men. Congratulations to all of you, and we wish you the best of luck at Nationals!

Please plan on attending the LAFSC Annual Meeting on Nov 26, 2005 at 5:30PM. It will be held at the American Legion Hall, 940 W. Olive Avenue, Burbank, CA. There will be a Junior Council party immediately following the meeting.

SOUTHWEST PACIFIC REGIONALS COMPETITION (10/20/2005)

Congratulations to all of our 2005-2006 Southwest Pacific Regional Competitors! We are proud of each and every one of you! The jackets looked great, and we hope you had a lot of fun in Arizona. A very special congratulations to our members who qualified to compete at Pacific Coast Sectional Championships and Junior Nationals. What a huge accomplishment! Our Pacific Coast Team includes Tenile Victorsen in Junior Ladies (1st at SWP), Brian Simm in Novice Men (2nd at SWP), Amir Ganaba and Marisa Sharma in Senior Pairs, Themi Leftheris in Senior Pairs, Don Baldwin in Senior Pairs, and Jessica Perino in Junior Dance. Our Junior National Team includes Deanna Inn in Intermediate Ladies (5th at SWP), Tiffany and Christopher Nahm in Intermediate Pairs, Galvani Hopson in Intermediate Pairs, Ashlynne Marie Ragasa in Intermediate Pairs, Margaret Stevenson in Juvenile Girls (2nd at SWP), Keauna McLaughlin in Juvenile Girls (3rd at SWP), and Chad Phillips in Juvenile Pairs (2nd at SWP). **SPRING FESTIVAL OF CHAMPIONS** (3/24/05)

Congratulations to Michelle Kwan for being named to our 2005 World Team. Congratulations to Tenile Victorsen on being named to her first International competition – the Gardena Spring Trophy in Ortisei, Italy!

CONGRATULATIONS TO MICHELLE KWAN, TIFFANY STIEGLER, THEMISTOCLES LEFTHERIS, TENILE VICTORSEN, AND BRIAN SIMM!! (1/18/05)

LAFSC is honored to have had so many great skaters at the 2005 U.S. National Championships in Portland, Oregon. MICHELLE KWAN won her ninth gold medal in Championship Ladies!! Michelle now ties the record for the most U.S. gold medals. What an accomplishment!! TIFFANY STIEGLER (with partner Sergey Magerovskiy) placed 4th in Championship Dance, her first year as a dancer! THEMISTOCLES LEFTHERIS(with partner Julian Burns) placed 13th in Championship Pairs in their debut year. TENILE VICTORSEN placed 4th in her first year as a Junior lady. BRIAN SIMM placed 6th in Novice Men, his first year as a Novice!
